Established in February 2000 with the aim of providing reasonably low priced transportation in and around the City of York.

We pride ourselves in providing a high standard of service by only taking on a work commitment that we can fulfil, giving the customer a polite, courteous and friendly service that is both professional and reliable.

This is reflected in our continuous efforts to improve our business with the recent installation of the very latest computerised booking and dispatch system, which provides us with up to the minute information on where our cars are on the ground through GPS locator's.

Ring back service is now available, no more standing in the cold waiting for your Taxi to arrive or having to keep a vigil twitching curtains at your front window, the car will initiate ring back shortly before arrival or when outside which will give 2 short rings on the phone that booked the Taxi. ( The Tel No 01904 769308 is the ring back number please do not call on this number to book Taxis as it does not accept incoming calls, Please save on your phone as "Taxi Outside".)

Drivers

At D & P 764 we have both male and female drivers, all of whom are fully licensed and insured, they are approved by the City of York Council and police checked (Criminal Records Bureau) prior to being allowed a licence, ensuring that customer safety is a priority at all times. Drivers are also qualified to NVQ Level 2 in road passenger vehicle driving and customer care.

Fleet

We currently have over 40 smart modern vehicles with 4-8 seaters available. These are regularly serviced and maintained to the highest standards possible. In line with the requirements of our licensing conditions set out by the City of York Council and Private Hire legislation all vehicles are Mot'd twice per year at 6 monthly intervals. All licensed Private Hire Vehicles are "Non Smoking" by law.

These are the high standards that we have achieved and are still proud to maintain.
